Black Panther Mainstream: 

black panther is a main stream film, there are many reasons for this. one of the first reasons is the genre, Black Panther is a super hero, action movie.  this is very popular in the current century as most movies in cinemas are super hero, action or horror, this shows it as mainstream as, they are focusing on getting people to watch the film. Another reason is the Narrative, black ranger being a PG13, the story is pretty straight forward with extremely good action scenes, its simple to follow, another reason this is mainstream is because of the upbeat typical super hero ending of the hero saving an area and having a great battle, the simple and cookie cutter style shows that the film is mainstream to not complex the story so that they can have audiences coming to watch the film. The most popular star of the movie is Micheal Jordan and Chadwick Boseman, Micheal Jordan being an athlete and owning the brand Jordan, he is an extremely likeable and popular person, the studio has chosen these two stars for celebrity endorsement, this makes the movies get more views and larger range of audiences will come to watch the film because of the two popular stars. Marvel had a large audience before black panther, the large studio has millions of fans world wide, this meant that more people would go to see the film as marvel is the top studio and is dominating film, creating large audience. the audience is mainstream as the movie has been created for all ages, genders and has a wide range of people, this means that anyone can watch the film and enjoy it, getting the studio more people to watch the film by having a wide range of audience. Black Panther is an add on to the Marvel Universe, black panther has been hinted at in other movies and all the marvel movies link as they are own the same universe and time period, this means that it will get more views as it has been around for a while a lot of people know of the studio. this is the 17th film in the franchise. 

Black Panther was created by Marvel Studio and was directed by, Ryan Coogler. Marvel studio is a multi million dollar studio, they have a lot of money and have all the resources to make any film and have it be successful being a big corporation and having the name marvel means that fans will watch the film without knowing anything about it, Marvel is apart of the big 5 and has a signing with Disney, this maximises views and money in take as they are getting large amount of audiences because of Disney and Marvel name. The film cost 200 million to be created, this is doable for marvel as they are such a big corporation, this means that they can make the movie well and sleek, they can maxims what they want in the film making the sense more better and the film being more eye catching brings in larger audiences. The studio leads the movie as it has the powerful marvel name behind it, the money only having to come from one place as the studio is multi million. 

Black Panther had a large range of advertisement, black panther teamed up with Lexus to make an advert for the super bowl, this is extremely hard and expensive to do, the super bowl having millions of viewers and fans and audience of all ages means that a lot of people saw the advert and they got more people to watch it because of all their advertisement. the film used cultural advertisement as the film main audience was the African American audience making up 37%, the usual is 15% of African American viewers. the film was targeted all cinemas in a wide range the film came out in 2016, however in 2020 following the sad passing of Chadwick Boseman the film was shown in cinemas again, the film was around in cinemas for a long time and had lots os screenings, the film was also shown world wide, showing that the film is mainstream as they are trying to get all the money out off it. as of  may 2018 the film has made over 1.344 billion dollars, this is the 16th film in Disney that has made over a billion dollars, the film created a billion dollars in 26 days. furthermore it broke the record for the best February weekend opening off all time. Black Panther maximised profits by having merchandised, as the film was so popular there made merchandised for all ages ranging from toys to clothes the studio maxismed money from other ways other than screenings. there was a planning for black panther 2 however there are many films that followed after black panther creating a wider audience and more generations to like the franchise.
